Sorry, there was no Day Four. I was very ill with a sinus headache. Yea, one of those that makes your ear and jaw hurt. It comes along with an upset stomach and trouble seeing. If you don't know what I am talking about, thank your lucky stars. Anyway, today was much better. Still don't feel well, but at least I don't hurt like I did yesterday.
So after spending the day in bed and on the sofa yesterday, I went back to work today. I also had dinner out with my hubby and several friends in honor of one of their birthdays. Good food and good company.
Well I finally picked out a gift for my co workers for Mother's Day. I try to give them some little something for every holiday just to remind them that they are special. Since everyone I work with (all 8 in my branch) are Mom's, I did not want to miss Mother's Day, but I could not think of what to do. Well, I finally settled on crochet napkin rings with crochet flowers of various kinds on them and a copy of my favorite dessert in the ring. I think they will like them and hope they will try the dessert.
Speaking of dessert, we had the most wonderful Chocolate dessert at Longhorn's tonight. Jackie ordered it for her birthday, she is a member of their club and got a coupon for a free dessert on her birthday. Anyway, it was marvelous!!! Cake and ice cream and sooo good. Good thing I haven't started that diet yet. I did send them my application this morning but haven't received any more info yet. As I understand it the workbook will arrive by USPS and some of the other info will come email. Hoping to start the online classes on Tuesday next week. Wish me luck!
My two friends already doing it have lost about 25 pounds each in about a month and a half. I hope I can do as well.
That's about it for tonight.

Day 3
I finally managed (with hubby's help) to get the attachments from the Thrive Weight Loss program to open, however, I still can't sign up since I have to be able to print out the pages and I don't have a printer attached to this computer. Trials and Tribulations!! But I have forwarded the message to hubby's computer and hope to be able to finish the sign up later tonight.
Meanwhile, we were treated to Chick-Fil-A at work today and one of my co-workers also baked a pound cake. Wonderful treats, but not good for the waistline. I will lose these extra pounds. I just know it. I wanted to start walking today after work but my allergies are still causing painful headaches, difficulty breathing and coughing. I will be so happy when pollen season is over. Also by the time I drove home it had started to storm. Not a good walking condition. I promise it was not just an excuse, especially since I had to sit in my car and wait for hubby to get home. Seems I lost my door key somewhere today. So walking for an hour would have been vastly more interesting than just sitting in the driveway. Maybe tomorrow.
My daughter invited me to help her out with a craft show in September, so I have been thinking about what I would like to do (besides just keeping the grandson's occupied). I had made some bath mitts for the boys shaped like penguins and my daughter thought they were cute. Her business logo is a penguin so I was thinking I might make several of these between now and the show and she can include them in the inventory. Problem is that I generally don't make the same thing twice and therefore I don't write down the stitches as I go. So no two pieces are ever the same. Guess I will have to make an effort to write down the pattern. Even the two I made for the twins were not exactly alike. I have a picture, but again I haven't figured out how to post it here yet.
Well, guess I have to go do the "see if I can figure out the penguin" thingy.
Later.

Day Two
Today was a typical Monday at the Bank. Not too difficult, but fairly busy. At lunch I wanted to work on the latest afghan that I am making but discovered that I had dropped two stitches somewhere along the line. So I spent the last part of my lunch hour pulling out the rows that were too short.
After work I stopped by Wal-mart and cruised through the clearance section of the crafts department. I picked up some neat ribbon and Velcro letters, numbers and shapes for the twins "quiet books" that my daughter is making. Of course she doesn't know about them and I don't know when I can get them to her as we are about 5 hours away. But maybe she will read this blog and the secret will be out.
I also elected to check out a diet that a couple of my friends have been on for a month or two. The Thrive, Weight Loss Plan is working for them and I think I might give it a try. Especially since they are running a special until April 30 which cuts the price in half. I contacted them earlier today and gave them my email address so that when I got home I had a couple of messages from them on how to join. Unfortunately, I can't seem to get the attachments to open. Maybe I can get my computer expert husband to check into this tonight.
I am looking to shape up this summer and lose about 50 pounds. Next month is my birthday and I will be 59 years old. I never had a problem with weight until about 8 years ago. Strangely enough that is about the time I got remarried. hummmmm wonder if that has anything to do with it?? Anyway, I want to lose the weight and I can't seem to do it on my own. Hence the attempt to join the Thrive Program. I will let you know how it works out.

Day One
I just returned from a trip to visit the grandson's. Twin boys 16 months old. I had a blast and my daughter talked me into doing a blog. I don't know if I will be any good at this, but I will try.
The boys are super fun to play with now. As opposed to a few months ago when they didn't seem to care if we were there or not.
I made them each an afghan in crochet using their names spelled out in nautical flags as the center section. Then added a strip of Red with the word,PORT to the left of center and a Green strip with the word STARBOARD to the right. At the top is a stripe of Yellow with BOW and at the foot is a stripe of Purple with STERN crocheted into them. There is also a strip of Blue with White Fish running the full length of the afghan. I chose this design because their room is decorated in Pirate motif and I wanted something very colorful and educational for them. I hope they will enjoy these for a long time to come. And as soon as I can figure all this out, I will post a picture of one of them for you to see.
Well, that's about it for now. I have a little time left before I have to return to the real world of work, both as a bank teller supervisor and a housewife. Mondays are NOT my favorites.
